Privacy policy

NthSkill (nthskill.com) helps students and new graduates build job-ready engineering skills, and lets instructors run classes. This page says what we collect, why, who processes it and what you can ask us to do.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash) — or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account's id, email and name. We never see your Google password.
- Your learning: skill-check answers, knowledge-check results, the code and projects you submit and their grades, your track and progress, and questions you ask the AI tutor or your instructor.
- A resume or GitHub profile, if you add one: used to estimate your starting skills. Contact details are removed before any AI model reads it, and the resume file and its text are deleted 30 days after upload.
- Payments: Razorpay handles card, UPI and bank details; we only receive what was bought and whether the payment went through.
- Technical data: sign-in times, IP addresses (for rate limiting and security) and error logs.
How we use it
- To run your account, measure your skills, build and adjust your track, grade your work and answer questions.
- In a class you join: your instructors see your evaluation, progress and questions — you agree to this when joining, and leaving the class stops it.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to improve lessons using aggregate results.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India) hosts the service and its data.
- AI model providers (through OpenRouter) read the questions, answers and code needed to tutor, plan and grade. We route only to providers that don't keep or train on this data.
- Razorpay processes payments; Google handles "Continue with Google".
How long we keep it
Your account and learning history are kept while your account exists. Resumes are deleted after 30 days. Database backups are kept for 30 days.
Your choices
You can see and edit your track and settings in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email hello.mohitk@gmail.com — we reply within 30 days.
Children
NthSkill is for people aged 16 and over; under 18, use it with a parent's or guardian's consent.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it applies.
